Army arrests 449 suspected kidnappers, robbers in Abia, Imo

THE 82 Division of the Nigerian Army operating in Abia State under the leadership of its General Officer Commanding (GOC), Gen. Sarkin Yaki Bello, says it arrested about 449 suspected kidnappers and armed robbers from different locations in the state, Akwa-Ibom, Imo and Rivers states.



The army said out of the number, a total of 79 suspects had been handed over to the State Security Services (SSS) in Abia State Command for further investigations and where necessary, prosecution.

This was contained in a press release signed by Lt. Col. Sagir Musa, the Deputy Army Public Relation Officer and made available to journalists in Aba over the weekend.
