Blackburn FC finally apologises to Allardyce

Blackburn has apologised to former manager Sam Allardye for the false allegations about his firing made by his successor.

Steve Kean, who was prmoted to replace Allardyce in 2010, was filmed by fans in a Hong Kong bar the following year questioning Allardyce's integrity.

Blackburn said on its website on Tuesday that Kean ''Falsely alleged Sam Allardyce, our previous manager, was sacked by us because he was a crook. This is completely false''.

Blackburn was relegated from the Premier League in May under Kean, who was fired in September. The club is searching for a new manager after his successor, Henning Berg, was fired last month.
