Kassaly Daouda to play for Niger in AFCON 2013

Chippa United goalkeeper Kassaly Daouda returns to South Africa this week as a member of the 23-man squad for Niger at the African Cup of Nations finals.

His selection was affirmated on Monday when coach Gernot Rohr (What a name!) confirmed his final squad for the upcoming tournament.

It will be the second successive tournament for Daouda, who is expected to be first choice for the Mena Stars in South Africa.

They play Mali in their opening Group B match in Port Elizabeth on January 20 and then take on Ghana and the Democractic Republic of Congo in their next two group matches.
