Nigeria's N161b Supplementary Budget: FG Pays N94b To 23 Oil Marketers

The Federal Government has paid a total of N94billion to 23 Oil Marketers from the N161billion 2012 supplementary budget.

This disclosure was made today by the Coordinating Minister of the Economy and Minister of Finance, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala while speaking with newsmen.

Dr. Okonjo-Iweala explained that the 23 Oil Marketers that have been paid are those that had been cleared, adding that more Marketers will be paid once they are cleared.

The Minister said since December 31, 2012 her Ministry had given approval for the money to be made available at the Central Bank (CBN) account where it can be accessed by qualified Oil Marketers.

She expressed appreciation to the National Assembly for the approval of the supplementary budget which according to her was principally to take care of payments to Oil Marketers.
