Manchester City kept their title race alive as the current Champions won 2 goals to nil at the Emirate stadium to secure their very first away league success over the Gunners for nearly 38 years.
.
Roberto Mancini's side knew anything less than a victory at the Emirate stadium would all but end their hopes after leaders Manchester United moved to 10 points clear with a 2-1 victory against Liverpool.
.
But second placed City showed their determination to hold on to the crown with a first league win on Arsenal's stadium since October 1975.
.
The game changer came very early when Arsenal defender Laurent Koscieiny was red-carded by refree Mike Dean for a professional foul on Edin Dzeko.
