Recruitments for the delegation of the European Union to the Federal Republic of Nigeria are currently on-going in Nigeria. Read the descriptions about open positions below:

Job Position: Project Officer - Development Cooperation (Sector of Political/democratic governance & Civil Society)
Job No: 19554
Job location: Abuja, Nigeria

The project officer is expected to provide technical expertise to the Delegation in all phases of the project management cycle and in particular to ensure proper appraisal, monitoring of project's implementation and sector review most specifically in the job sector of political/democratic governance and civil society. As part of his duty he is in charge of the implementation of support to the electoral cycle and deepening democracy programme and a number of Budget-lines thematic programmes, support to Non State Actors and communications and interactions with mass media and acts as back -up for other projects within the section.

Education and experience:
•   University Degree in Political Science, Law or International Relations (masters or equivalent).
•   A minimum of 3 years professional experience as project manager in the area of development cooperation, preferably with international organizations with a sound knowledge of project management and monitoring will be essential.
•   An experience in the area of political/democratic governance, experience in working with CSO/NGO in Nigeria and experience in working with EU

General information:
•   Candidates must be full computer literate, fluent in English.
•   Other Nigerian languages is an advantage as would be French.
•   The gross remuneration will be fixed according to the EU salary grid and will be raised depending on years of relevant professional experience.
