Job Title: Supervisor – Maintenance Planning (Boeing 737 CL, NG and Airbus 330/340)

Location: Lagos, Nigeria

Organisation: Arik Air Limited – Nigeria

Job Summary: To forecast, plan, and control the maintenance requirements of the B737 (CL & NG) and Airbus 330/340 on Airframe, Engines, LDGs, APUs, components, etc. in accordance with the Nig.CARs.

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS – Relates with the AVP Engineering and Planning, Planning & Production Control Manager, AVP Maintenance, Maintenance Service Providers, MROs, Supply Chain etc.

Job Description:   

•    Review the applicable work documents for the accomplishment of maintenance tasks (scheduled and unscheduled) after prepared by the planning engineer and create flow chart for checks.

•    Take actions deemed necessary to balance workloads with available manpower.

•    Ensure that time specifications on maintenance program items, Airworthiness Directives, carryover items, assigned to his jurisdiction, are not exceeded

•    Review the accomplishment records of Airworthiness Directives, Alert Service Bulletins, Corrosion Prevention and Control Program, Structural Significant items etc on the entire fleet.

•    Review completed paper work of assigned tasks or accuracy and completeness; assures that completed paper work is forwarded to Aircraft Records.

•    Monitors completion of assigned workloads, rescheduling them as necessary to comply with appropriate limitations

•    Ensures completeness and accuracy of all documentation used for the planning, executing and recording of all maintenance tasks.

•    Coordinates with Supply Chain & Records to ensures that major components are available for forecasted scheduled changes.

•    Evaluate the cost of all maintenance tasks on man-hour calculations.

•    Prepare weekly, aircraft, engines and components status and forecasts the next 30 days of scheduled maintenance.

Required skill set & Qualification:   

•    B.Sc Degree in an Engineering field is absolute essential or

•    A holder of Aircraft Maintenance Engineer's Licence.

•    5-7 years of airline experience of work within an airline Engineering & Planning unit and acting as production planning Engineer in at least one type from B737 and Airbus 330/340.

•    Training in Aircraft Technical Records and Management/Maintenance Planning Technique will be an added advantage

•    Excellent communication skills – verbal and written.

•    Ability to meet assigned project deadlines with self directed decision making confidence.

•    Excellent organizational / managerial skills & Good Team Player

•    High standard of computer literacy
