Out of favour Super Eagles striker Obafemi Martins scored his first goal on his debut in this season's Europa League competition in Levante's 3-0 first leg home win over Olympiakos Piraeus last night.
.
The former Rubin Kazan striker scored his side's third goal in the 56th minute of the encounter to give his side a comfortable going into the second leg in Greece.
.
The former Newcastle striker made up for his earlier miss from the spot when Djamel Abdoun fouled Pedro López in the penalty box only for Martins who has seven La Liga goals to his credit to blaze the ball wide.
.
In Ukraine, in-form Eagles midfielder Haruna Lukman was also on target for Dynamo Kiev as they were forced to a 1-1 draw at home to Bordeaux at Olimpiyskiy National Sports Complex in Kiev.
.
Haruna latched on to a cross from his compatriot Taye Taiwo in the 20th minute and slammed the ball into the top right corner for his side's opener before the Miners were pegged back three minutes later after their Polish striker Ludovic Obraniak curled in a low shot from Gregory Sertic's pass.
.
The strike was Haruna's second goal of the season for the third place team on the Ukrainian log.
.
The former Monaco midfielder almost nicked a win for Oleg Blokhin's side after his superb strike from distance was cleared off the line by Marc Planus.
