Barcelona not overly reliant on Messi: Pedro

Barcelona striker Pedro Rodriguez has claimed that his club do not rely on Lionel Messi, ahead of their UEFA Champions League clash with AC Milan.

The diminutive attacker has now scored 37 goals in 24 Liga games this season, and over 300 goals in his Barcelona career, but Pedro believes the Catalan giants are more than just a one-man team.

The 25-year-old told reporters: "He always takes the team on his back and if he is not on form then it is noticeable, but the team is very strong and I do not believe that we are Messi-dependant."
