Ousted Super Eagles' striker, Yakubu Aiyegbeni has rated the striking partnership of Emmanuel Emenike and Victor Moses as the best Nigeria, who are the new African champions have at present.

The duo were impressive at the 2013 African Nations cup held in South Africa helping the Super Eagles win their third African title.

Emmanuel Emenike, who plays for Russian club, Spartak Moscow was the 2013 Africa Nations cup top-scorer with four goals, while the 22-year-old Chelsea striker, Victor Moses netted twice against Ethiopia in South Africa.

Yakubu, 31, is however optimistic that the duo would soar at the FIFA 2014 world cup in Brazil should the Super Eagles qualify for the championship.

"Emenike and Moses are fantastic strikers whose performance at the Nations cup in South Africa was superb and their pairing would be great in Brazil.

"Although, I have never played with none of them, but they are talented gifts to Nigeria," Yakubu said.

Yakubu, would ever be remembered for his shocking gaffe when Nigeria faced South Korea at the 2010 Fifa world cup in South Africa.

He has played 57 games for Nigeria scoring 21 goals.

Meanwhile, Emenike, has admitted that he misses the Beautiful Game as he remains sidelined by a long-term hamstring injury.

"I miss football. Football is part of me and I always want to play," Emenike told said on telephone from his base in Russia.

The second round of the Russian Premier League will resume next week Sunday with Emenike's Spartak home to closest rivals TerekGrosny.
