Governor Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo State on Wednesday participated in the ongoing re-registration exercise for members of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) in the state, harping on unity among members of the party in the state.

The governor did his registration at his Ward 12, Odo-Ona in Ibadan South-West Local Government Area, amidst encomium from party faithful who were also participating in the exercise.

Governor Ajimobi, while addressing party members shortly after the exercise, appealed to members of the party in the state to remain united, stressing that the strength of the party lied in the unity.

He also stressed the importance of the ward which he said had always recorded highest number of votes in the council area, urging feuding party members, therefore, to resolve their differences amicably in order to sustain the feat recorded by the party during past elections.

The governor, who assured members of even distribution of democracy dividends, explained that the first 16 months of his administration was devoted to project execution and provision of infrastructure for the benefit of the people.

Aside ensuring an all-round transformation of the state, he said that the second phase would also focus on political restructuring and re-organization during which all aggrieved members would be reconciled and the party repositioned for more successes in future elections.
