University of Leeds, the School of Healthcare is seeking to appoint a senior research fellow in Wounds in UK. This post is fixed term for 3 years. Applicant must be PhD or equivalent in a subject area relating to nursing, care of people with Wounds and/or Applied Health research sciences and should have a relevant post-doctoral research experience in skin care, tissue viability, wounds research. Students must have project management experience in the design and conduct of health care research. Students must have good IT and communication skills. Eligibility: -A PhD or equivalent in a subject area relating to Nursing / Care of people with Wounds and/or Applied Health research sciences -Relevant post-doctoral research experience in skin care / tissue viability / wounds research -A strong background relating to the School's Wounds Research theme demonstrated by a developing international publication record, as single or main author, in the field of, Nursing, Wounds, Skin care, and Applied Health research publications in peer reviewed journals. -Experience of writing and successfully obtaining large national research grant proposals in the field of Wounds or Applied Health research with practical experience of managing all stages of the grant from sourcing funding to delivering successful outputs -Project management experience in the design and conduct of health care research. -Methodological expertise including experience of systematic reviewing, quantitative research and trials. -Expertise in Systematic Review technologies. -Proven experience of working in an interdisciplinary research environment. -Good communications skills with the proven ability to write to a standard required for research reports/ national publications -The ability to work and think independently and lead the planning of a programme of research in the field of Wounds whilst building and maintaining collaborations with other researchers working in related areas (such as pain, mental health, decision making, medicines management) -Evidence of an ability to work effectively individually and in a research team providing inspirational leadership for the research group. -Experience of effectively liaising with external partners and contributing to networks -Effective time management and organization skills with a proven ability to work efficiently and effectively to meet deadlines and targets. -Good IT Skills with familiarity with computer packages for data analysis Desirable attributes -Experience of facilitating the career development of less experienced colleagues in research, teaching and administration -Experience of supervising post graduate students to successful completion -An established international research publication record -A sustained track-record of obtaining external income for research

Scholarship Description: The School of Healthcare, in line with the University's Research Strategy and the School Vision, is seeking to appoint a Senior Research Fellow in Wounds to lead a defined area of wounds research which underpins policy, practice, and education and makes a positive difference to health, locally, nationally, and internationally; providing academic leadership to the School by undertaking School-wide leadership responsibilities as appropriate. The successful candidate will lead the evaluating health technologies strand of work and will gain recognition for this work stream both internally and externally via external funding, publication in impact factored journals and strengthening links with related and appropriate schools within the University, such as the Clinical Trials Unit. You will work across disciplines, programmes and Academic Units as a senior member of the research team, within an integrated School of Healthcare, to deliver high quality research and increase our global research impact by actively disseminating research to expand international recognition for the School's research and innovation activities. You will actively engage in IKT activities to support the School's vision to deliver a portfolio of high quality research led/informed health and social care education underpinned by the integration of research, L&T, practice & IKT.
