Job description:

The candidate should be able to demonstrate a complete understanding, knowledge and commitment to the importance of HSE in the day to day activities. He must demonstrate safety awareness and show a duty of care for others around him. He must be a capable and willing team member.:  will be working within the Electrical & Instrumentation Department of an onshore fabrication yard and will perform but not limited to the following functions;

•   Overall supervision of instrument/electrical engineers in the design team

•   Technical competence of instrument/electrical engineering personnel

•   Forecast requirement for instrument/electrical engineering resources and allocate those resources

•   Instrument/electrical design integrity of work scope and maintenance of standards

•   Identify instrument/electrical software necessary to enable instrument/electrical group to function effectively

•   Inter discipline communication development

•   Check compliance with QA/safety/environmental goals

•   Manage instrument/electrical design and any design changes within budget and schedule

•   Evaluate new technology advancements against existing design standards and revise where applicable

•   Promote cost reduction and productivity enhancing initiatives

•   Technical supervision of project designated instrument/electrical designers and draftsmen in the execution of their duty

•   Prepare weekly instrument/electrical progress and expenditure reports on a project specific basis

•   Quality Assurance – Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance system relevant to the Project

Requirements:

•   HND/Bsc / Master Degree in Engineering with 8-15 years of experience in Oil and Gas projects with minimum 8 years experience of Electrical/Instrumentation design.

•   Experience of being active participant in conceptual/FEED studies under capacity of overall coordinator capturing design deliverables.

•   Should have worked in pneumatic instruments, pneumatic control system.

•   Should have proficiency in trouble shooting of all listed equipment

•   Should have experience in calibration and troubleshooting of smart transmitters, Fire & Gas systems

•   Knowledge of Electrical & Instrumentation engineering design documents e.g. equipment specifications, instrument & control loop diagrams, instrument calibration & certifications.

•   Electrical equipment specifications, hook-ups, ESD system, TDC, PLC, MTO etc.

•   Knowledge of engineering reviews, HAZOP, other safety studies and hazardous area classifications

•   Knowledge of gas processing plant maintenance & experience in working with contractors Thorough knowledge of safety in plant maintenance operations.

•   Familiar with applicable international standards, Plant design specifications & philosophies, statutory regulations & requirements for safety & environment
