Location: Nigeria – Lagos

We are currently representing a successful independent E&P, headquartered in Lagos, Nigeria who are keen to identify a hands-on Geophysicist who can provide geophysical expertise in a variety of exploration projects.

Knowledge & Skills:  – 10+ years of experience as a Geophysicist.  – Strong geophysical skills.  – seismic acquisition, processing and interpretation.  – Must be familiar with geophysical tools (velocity, amplitude, AVO modelling, seismic processing, etc.).  – Result oriented, Strong technical background in seismic interpretation.

Principal Accountabilities:

1. Provide geophysical expertise in a variety of exploration projects

2. Plan and execute seismic site survey, 2D and 3D acquisition including survey design, QC and reporting.

3. Plan and execute seismic (re) processing, including tendering and contracting.

4. Seismic interpretation – Generate time and depth maps on key stratigraphic horizons as required from 3D and 2D datasets. Perform depth conversion and generate detailed prospect maps.

5. Provides input to exploration, drilling and commercial evaluations.

6. Participates in peer reviews, and contributes to management and joint partner meetings.

7. Conduct various detailed interpretational studies to support operated, non-operated and new ventures activity, farm-ins, as required.

8. Project management.
