Harambee Stars striker Dennis Oliech has revealed how heart-broken he was when Nnamdi Oduamdi scored an injury time equaliser to earn the Super Eagles a point from last Saturday's 2014 World Cup qualifier in Calabar.

The Kenyans were on the verge of breaking a 28 year old jinx when Thika United's Francis Kahata curled in a free- kick from 25 yards to give Adel Amrouche's side the lead in the 30th minute and their first goal on Nigerian soil before Oduamadi restored parity for the AFCON champions.

Oliech believes his side have Arnold Origi to thank for the plethora of saves he made in the encounter but added that it was a good point earned from home.

"It was a tough game and we can't really complain about the point, especially since Nigeria had to fight back with their array of stars," said Oliech.

"Nigeria are a side that is currently in good form and I can't really complain about the point but that goal really broke my heart. I don't think the goalkeeper saw it," he joked while checking out of the hotel.

Also reacting to the draw was Francis Kahata who believed the Super Eagles won't escape defeat in Nairobi.

He said:"We are back in contention for the top spot and we know what is at stake. With what we forced them to play on their home soil, we stand a good chance now," he said.
