The out-going Director of Public Relations Department, Mr Samuel Ajayi, has urged staff of the Department to make their impact felt and be bent on succeeding as there is strength in hard work.

Mr Ajayi made the remark during his handing-over to his successor, Mr Peter Dama, in his office, Thursday, April 11, 2013.

Mr Ajayi noted that his three year tenure as Director in the Department was a very rewarding and fulfilling experience.  He ascribed his success to the support and loyalty he got from the  Staff.

He urged his successor not to lower the standard, adding that the Public Relations profession is demanding as well as rewarding.

The out-going Director called on the staff to extend the support he enjoyed, to the new Director, praying that his tenure will be peaceful, impactful and memorable.

Responding, the in-coming Director and Director, State House Press Liaison, Mr Peter Dama  expressed his regards and respect  for Mr Ajayi for his simplicity and good human relations.

Mr Dama noted that his doors are wide open and urged the staff to extend their support to him and make positive contributions for success on the job as no one has monopoly of knowledge.

The Director charged the staff to be disciplined and avoid truancy because anyone found wanting will be replaced.

He informed that the major task before the Department is facilitating the National Good Governance Tour to the North West and sought the cooperation of all, in the call to duty.
