Lionel Messi is taking a break from the soccer field and heading to the beach with new son Thiago, while he recovers from a muscular injury.

On Saturday the star released a picture of his five-month-old baby boy along with girlfriend Antonella Rocuzzo posing and smiling together with a sunny view of the seaside as a background.

"Afternoon stroll with Thiago!," wrote Messi on his Facebook account.



Born on November 2, 2012, this is the first time the Argentinian athlete shares a personal image of his son with his fans.

The FC Barcelona player had revealed images of him getting a new tattoo last month of baby Thiago's handprints onto his left leg along with his newborn's name.
