Our client is a leading global Brewery and Bottling Company spread across the world with recent presence in Nigeria. Due to internal expansion processes in their Nigerian office, they have decided to hire a Production Planner.

Role Summary:

To plan production for the entire business so that inventory is optimized in terms of days cover, costs, warehouse capacities. Production constraints and raw materials in order to meet demand.

Responsibilities:

• Adapt to changing operating practices

• Adapt to further consolidation amongst the bottlers

• Adapt to and be aware of changes in warehousing and production practices

• Adapt to Information technology revolution

• Take into account pressure to keep margin s down

• Adapt to and implement participative work structures and design

• Adjust to increasing customer satisfaction and service focus and drive

• Be aware of changes to supply chain and manufacturing legislation

• Be aware of facility projects

OUTPUTS QUALITY REQUIREMENTS

Compiled and issued production plans

• The customer receives the yearly, monthly and weekly production plan timeously

• Production requirements are realistic in respect of people, machines, raw material availability, plant constraints, forecast demands

• Production plan is optimised from an operating cost perspective

Provided raw materials

• Annual, monthly and weekly material requirement plans are accurate and practically achievable

• Continuous and sufficient communication regarding changes to the weekly raw materials

Tracked and reported variances

• All variances in respect of planned versus actual production are tracked daily with a view to identify and monitor trends

• Trends and non-conformance s are investigated effectively, until root cause is determined

Provided expert business analytical support

• Customers are treated with dignity and respect

• Customer's needs and requirements are always treated as important

• Requests, issues and problem s are handled in a friendly, tactful, professional and timely manner

Solved situational problems

• Situational problems are solved immediately

• Situational problems and action plans are discussed with customers

• The root cause of the problem is determined (5 why 's)

Managed own development and performance

• The individual knows what the outputs and context issues are and how these link to his/her own role model and individual goals

• The individual manages his/her own performance , career and learning proactively by using the HR tools in line with the company's guidelines

• Support and feedback from managers and customers is actively pursued by the individual

In respect of the ideal candidate profile:

Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in relevant field. Masters degree would be an added advantage.

Experience: 3 -4 Years planning or production experience in a FMCG environment
