Carla P. told us in an email, "My iPhone alarm didn't go off this morning. I also set a calendar appointment with an alert that also didn't go off. My TIMER worked."



Reader Lindsay G. shared a letter she had written to Apple CEO steve Jobs explaining to him of how the iPhone's buggy alarm clock caused her to oversleep on New Year's day, arrive late to work, and lose her job as a result.

"Mr. Jobs, I'd like to let you know that you have officially, directly contributed to unemployment in 2011," she wrote. "If you had warned me about the glitch, I could have at least picked up a $5 battery operated alarm clock that would have saved my job. Now I'm unemployed in a time when jobs are not easily had, and I am short on my rent. So, Happy New Year to you, Mr. Jobs, I hope you remember to shoot me an email next time there is any chance of a glitch,"
