National Good Governance Tour Team Commends Federal Ministry of Works.

NGGT Logo                        The National Good Governance (Media Inspection of Projects) Team, led by the Minister of Information, Mr. Labaran Maku has commended the Federal Ministry of Works over the speedy completion of the N7Billion Trans-Saharan Funtua-Gusau-Niger Republic road in Zamfara State.

The Minister of State for Works, Amb. Bashir Yuguda, while briefing journalist Saturday, April 27, 2013, when he led a delegation of the team to the 104 KM road got the commendation after the team expressed satisfaction at what they saw.

Amb. Yuguda stated that the road which was an alignment going through Gusau-Sokoto-Kebbi and would be completed before this year's rainy season.

The Minister also stated that the road which was almost 90 per cent completed would boost economic activities and economic growth in the State and beyond, calling for more collaborative efforts with States' governments on road infrastructure development.

Earlier, the Executive Governor of Zamfara State, Abdulaziz Yari who was with the entourage showed his appreciation to the Federal Government for the gesture and stated that his administration is always committed to partnering the Federal Government on key road infrastructure and call on other State Governors to emulate same for growth and development.

The Minister of Information however, called on the media not to be biased on their reportage and insisted that such positive reportage would  encourage for other States to emulate the good gesture.

He should not stop at that. There are so many abandoned projects all over Nigeria so there is still more work to be done.
