Real Madrid Planning To Buy Lewandowski

Real Madrid are trying to lure Polish striker Robert Lewandowski away from Borussia Dortmund, according to sports daily Marca Saturday.

Lewandowski, 24, scored all four goals when Dortmund thrashed Real 4-1 in the first leg of the Champions League semis on April 24, goals which ultimately decided the tie because the Germans went through on a 4-3 aggregate after losing 2-0 in Madrid on April 30.

According to Marca, at the end of the second leg, Real president Florentino Perez took Lewandowski by the arm, led him into an office, and - in a 10-minute conversation, tried to persuade him to join Real in July.

However, Marca claimed that the Polish hitman has already agreed to join Bayern Munich, who will be Dortmund's opponents in the Champions final on May 25. It is not clear if this agreement is for Lewandowski to join Bayern this summer or in 2014.

According to Marca, Dortmund would rather see Lewandowski join Real than Bayern, their eternal opponents in the Bundesliga.

Perez is keen to make a big signing ahead of the presidential elections at Real in July.
