Our client: Adexen Recruitment Agency is mandated by one of the market leaders in the West African food sector to recruit a Deputy Managing Director to manage and coordinate its operations.

Job description:

•   The Deputy Managing Director will be responsible for developing, designing, operating and continuously improving the business systems that create and deliver excellent products and services.

•   He/she will report to the Group Managing Director.

•   The position is based in Lagos, Nigeria.

Responsibilities:

The Deputy Managing director has the following responsibilities:

•    Ensure effective deployment of resources to achieve defined goals and objectives

•    Oversee and manage all aspects of the day to day operations of the group company,

•    Design, develop and implement systems and templates that can be used to replicate and drive the growth of the company's business in new markets and/or countries,

•    Develop, administer and constantly review operational and administrative policies,

•    Ensure compliance with Government Regulatory agencies,

•    Develop, build and manage relationship with both internal and external stakeholders

Qualifications & Experience:

•    Minimum of University degree (an MBA will be advantageous)

•    Minimum of 10 years experience at Senior/Executive level

•    Strong domain knowledge of FMCG

•    Business development experience in the food and retail environment

•    Business planning and modeling skills

•    Strong leadership skills

•    Strong people management skills

•    Ability to work with all levels of management, build partnerships and teams

•    Fluent in written and spoken English.
