Brief Biography  

 

Fidelis U. Okoro is a senior lecturer in the Department of English and Literary Studies of the University of Nigeria. He is a poet, a novelist and a playwright. His creative works have been shortlisted for four literary awards. He is also a movie producer and director. He has three music albums to his credit. He runs a theatre group, Fidoko Theatre Company which has performed plays across Nigeria. His research interests are literary theory, world poetry, comparative literature, African dramatic studies, film studies and African oral poetry. He is currently on the team funded by a research grant of the University to produce a comprehensive Nigerian anthology of poetry. He is currently co-editing Africa and World Literature: University of Nigeria Journal of Literary Studies.
