FG’s planned massive housing scheme applauded.

ms.-ama-pepple                        The proposed provision of One Million Housing units planned across the country this year which was disclosed by the Minister of Lands Housing and Urban Development ,Ms Amma Pepple during the commissioning ceremony  of228 Housing Units built under the Public Private Partnership under Governor Isa  Yuguda's  administration in Bauchi  State has received applause.

Some of the planned mass housing, 228 Units of which is situated at Dungal Village, Bauchi State and was commissioned just of recent, was funded by the Federal Mortgage Bank, Terraquest Development Company as well as Bauchi State Government respectively.

According to the Minister, similar housing projects are ongoing in all the 36 States of the Federation including Abuja.  She further buttressed the fact that the 165 Million Nigerians deserve qualitative and affordable housing as opposed to a situation where many seek temporary shelter under  bridges and flyovers.

Speeches were delivered by both the Managing Director of Federal Mortgage Bank and the Terraquest Development Company  at the commissioning with both stressing the need for befitting and affordable housing for all Nigerians and particularly civil servants under the contributory housing fund.

At the end,the Governor of Bauchi State, Mallam Isa Yuguda remarked that the 228 houses is the first phase and that this year alone, he intends to build up to 1000 houses under his Massive Housing Programme.
