1) Head, Provisioning and Operations

[td]Head, Provisioning and Operations[/td][tr][td]Department:[/td][td]Technical[/td][/tr][tr][td]Reporting Line:[/td][td]Chief Technical Officer (CTO)[/td][/tr][tr][td]Responsibilities:[/td][td]Responsible for the efficient running of the Global Network Operations Centre (GNOC) in its prime role of providing exceptional KPIs for the Main One Cable's Network and portfolio of network services. Specifically, the Head, Provisioning and Operations shall:§  Ensure the network provides a service availability of 99.995% or better.§  Coordinate effective fault diagnosis and problem resolution to ensure network Mean Time To Repair (MTTR) for on-net components is within company agreed objectives.§  Ensure world class network performance monitoring and system/component/service outages are escalated within the set/agreed timelines respectively. Ensure 24 hours per day 7 days a week basis monitoring for all Main One's Network Operations.§  Manage, coordinate and support network performance management systems for the delivery off required network service levels.§  Work with engineering teams to formulate, test and implement restoration plans for use in the event of a network outages.§  Work with engineering teams to formulate routine preventive equipment maintenance plans for the different elements/components that make up the Main One's Network.§  Ensure all network, customer and process documentation including but not limited to design documents, AS-builts , capacity utilisation, network availability, spares holding (location, and availability).§  Coordinate the daily operational activities as performed by the various Cable Station managers and their staff and ensure that each Cable Station Manager is aware of the status of the system at all times.§  Ensure all provisioning (network, customer or other) is delivered within the agreed/stipulated timelines.[/td][/tr][tr][td]Primary Location:[/td][td]Lagos, Nigeria[/td][/tr][tr][td]Contacts:[/td][td]Under the supervision of the CTO, you will be required to liaise and interface with other groups/departments typically involved in the implementation of new network solutions and services for deployment into operations[/td][/tr][tr][td]Competencies Required:[/td][td]§  Technical & Management experience in Carrier Network Operation's Center.§  Great working knowledge and hands on experience with SDH, DWDM, IP/MPLS and other Optical and/or IP based network technologies and solutions.§  Formal knowledge in Network transmission technologies with advanced network management systems.§  Strategic Thinking and problem Solving§  Leadership & team management skill[/td][/tr][tr][td]Demands of the Job:[/td][td]§  At least a Bachelors degree in Information Technology/Electronics Engineering or a related degree.§  Minimum of 15 years work experience, 10 years in Operation and Maintenance field, and managing NOC environments, preferably for a large, data centre or telecommunications company.§  Understanding of transmission networks (SDH, DWDM), TCP/IP and related protocols.§  Successful project management experience leading a minimum team of 5 individuals§  Results orientation; strong commitment to provide top-rate service to internal and external customers§  Excellent listening, judgment and communication skills; an organised and systematic mind§  Good leadership and management skills§  May be required to work long/odd hours.§  May be required to travel to other Main One locations[/td][/tr]APPLY HERE

Department:[td]Head, Network Planning and EngineeringNetwork Planning and Implementation[/td][tr][td]Reporting Line:[/td][td]Chief Technical Officer (CTO)[/td][/tr][tr][td]Responsibilities:[/td][td]The Head, Network Planning and Engineering is responsible for the planning, design and implementation of reliable network infrastructure to support the business plan and ensure sustained and consistent service delivery to customers. The Head, Network Planning and Engineering will continually evaluate network growth plans and service delivery platforms, , partnerships and performance levels with a view to ensuring that the Company's immediate, medium and long-term infrastructure requirements for service delivery are met at reasonable costs.Other responsibilities include to:§  Develop a network architecture and growth plan capable of meeting long term business needs§  Oversee and manage network planning and implementation to achieve business plan and ensure the network designs are able to deliver committed customer SLAs§  Proactively identify and anticipate network performance issues (traffic/quality/resiliency) and provide recommendations for improvement§  Oversee the design, planning and implementation of reliable DWDM and SDH transmission and IP/MPLS infrastructure to effectively support network implementation and ensure adequate transmission support for operational activities§  Build, manage and retain a world class network implementation planning and engineering team, and provide leadership and guidance to team members towards the achievement of overall business objectives§  Ensure synergy and collaboration in interdepartmental activities and communication in order to facilitate effective and smooth running of the function[/td][/tr][tr][td]Primary Location:[/td][td]Lagos, Nigeria[/td][/tr][tr][td]Contacts:[/td][td]Under the supervision of the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) you will be required to liaise and interface with other groups/departments typically involved in the Technical Management of the project.[/td][/tr][tr][td]Competencies:Required: [/td][td]§  A broad operational experience of network planning, design, engineering, implementation and performance management.§  A minimum of 10 years' experience in Telecommunications Network Operations§  First degree in a relevant field and advanced degree in telecom, civil, electrical or mechanical engineering, or similar technology related fields§  Experience with the planning and design of backbone fiber optic cable networks, possibly including submarine§  Experience in the design and implementation of carrier-class backbone networks using SDH, IP, MPLS and DWDM Technologies§  Research & writing skills§  Strategic Thinking and Problem Solving§  Leadership & team management skills[/td][/tr][tr][td]Demands of the job:[/td][td]§  Ability and willingness to meet tight deadlines to complete critical projects§  Ability and willingness to travel locally and globally as required§  Aptitude to learn new technical skills and competencies and stay ahead of technology evolution§  Effective people manager with attention to detail that takes pride in quality of professional work and results[/td][/tr]
