ANPP National Chairman urges INEC to conduct peaceful election in 2015.

inec_logo                        The Independent National electoral Commission has been urged to conduct a peaceful election in 2015. This call was made by the National of ANPP, Dr. Ogbonaya Onu at the party's national convention held very recently in Gusau, Zamfara State.

Dr. Onu described the convention as great in the history of Nigeria democracy by attracting six thousand and fifty four (6,054) delegates from different parts of the country, stressing that the merger with opposition parties to form a virgin party, All Progressives Congress (APC) would address the problems facing Nigerians in terms of insecurity, unemployment and poverty.  He therefore called on INEC to ensure that their new party is registered.

In his address, the National Convention Committee Chairman, who is also the Executive Governor, Zamfara State, Alh. AbdulAzeez Yari' Abubakar announced the resolution of the party delegates to agree and joined the merger with Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) and Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) with the approved constitution, manifesto, slogan and logo respectively.

The party also resolved and sacked one Isah Bala of Bwari LGA, FCT due to misconduct.

The occasion was attended by top party officials including Governors of Borno and  Yobe, Alh. Kashim Shettima and Alh. Ibrahim Geidam,  former Governor of Borno, Senator Ali Modu Shariff, former Governor of Yobe, Alh. Bukar Abba Ibrahim, former ANPP Presidential candidate, Mall. Ibrahim Shekarau, representative of the ACN, Mall. Nuhu Ribadu (former ACN Presidential candidate), representative of CPC, Mall. Mustapha Salihu, former Governor of Sokoto, Alh. Attahiru Bafarawa and Senator Kabiru Gaya, among others.
