OTC Ends With Record 104,800 Attendants

Attendance at the 2013 Offshore Technology Conference, OTC, which held at the Reliant Park in Houston Texas, USA between May 6 and 9, reached a 30-year high of 104,800, the second highest in show history and 17 percent above last year. Nigeria, as is becoming usual recorded one of the highest number of participation with about 1,500 attendants, which included a number of oil services companies, oil companies operating in Nigeria, private individuals and other non-oil corporate organisations like banks, insurance, maritime and a host of others.

Nigeria had the fifth largest representation at the 2012 edition of the conference  The Petroleum Technology Association of Nigeria, PETAN, the coordinator of the Nigerian contingents to the OTC, in collaboration with the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, said participation by Nigerian companies gets better ach year.
