Osun fights malaria.

In a bold attempt to wipe out malaria scourge in Osun State, the State government in collaboration with the 30 Local Government Areas and Council Offices have embarked on house-to-house distribution on mosquito nets.

In addition to the distribution, health officers have embarked on enlightenment campaign not only on the use of the nets, but as well as on the need to maintain healthy living environment.

To this end, many households have been told to cut bushes in their surroundings and ensure that there is free flow of waste water as stagnant water breeds mosquitoes.

Residents are full of praises to the government for the initiatives and pledges to put into practice what they have been told in order to maintain healthy life and clean environment
