Our client: Adexen Recruitment Agency is mandated by one of the world's leading manufacturers companies to recruit a Finance Analyst – Business & Investment Relations for its operations in Nigeria

Job description:

•   The holder of this role will provide a comprehensive business analysis service to the Management team. This will involve providing financial interpretation of the Plan and forecast outturn and highlight any financial corrective actions which may be required to ensure planned financial objectives are met.

•   The role is based in Lagos.

Responsibilities:

•   Ability to analyse and discuss  financial information e.g. company results, profit and loss and cash flow statements, usually over the telephone, e.g. at company result meetings;

•   Analyse and provide (cost benefit) justification for capital expenditure as relates to the commercial function

•   Keep up to date with market developments, and macro-economic indicators that can affect the markets and share price of the company, e.g. movements in interest rates, inflation rates etc.

•   Prepare  forecast of movements of macro-economic indicators

•   Prepare investor relations slides in collaboration with key stakeholders

•   Prepare monthly Kpi trackers for the business

•   Monitoring the financial news using specialist media sources

•   Act as a proactive business partner to operational managers. Using insight and experience to challenge business performance and recommend alternative causes of action.

•   Provide reliable Management Information on a timely and accurate basis

•   Balance sheet review and liaison with the accounts team to resolve issues.

•   Share finance expertise and best practice across the non-finance community.

•   Production of regular monthly reporting and forecast for internal and group consumption, ensuring that revenues and costs are correctly reported and variances understood

•   Regular dialogue with operational budget holders to ensure performance is tracked and risks and opportunities correctly identified.

•   Ensure that Company Safety Standards are maintained at all times

Qualifications et experience:

•   A University degree in Sciences or Social Sciences.

•   Minimum of 5 years' finance analyst experience.

•   Experience in a manufacturing environment would be preferred.

•   Possession of a professional qualification in Accounting and a Financial Analyst Certification would be desirable

•   MBA would be an advantage

•   Extensive experience with with analytical tools such as Cognos, Business Objects and ERM

•   Advanced knowledge of financial modeling and analytical techniques essential

•   Broad financial experience including budgetary and financial control responsibilities

•   Experienced in both financial and management accounting.

•   Change: ability to work effectively in a fast moving environment

•   Analytical: problem analysis, evaluation and presentation of recommended options/solutions.

•   Multitasking capabilities with strong ability to plan, prioritize and manage multiple projects under strict timelines
