Visitors storm So-Said Charity Home

So-Said Charity Home for the less privileged in Hosanna Estate, Okota area of Lagos State was not left behind in this year's Children's Day celebration as the home was filled with visitors who came to spend the day with the children.

Food items, toiletries and clothing were presented to the home to spread the love of the celebration as the children gladly welcomed their guests with songs and prayer.

The Administrative Officer, Mrs. Toyin Ayele welcomed the visitors and gave them a brief history about the home. She showed pictures of some persons in bad conditions that were taken in by the home and the aftermath.

The founder, Mrs. Concern Felicia Martins, was all smiles as she greeted the visitors and thanked them for their patronage. Two of the rehabilitated were called upon to speak to the visitors and they told their stories. Questions by the visitors were answered accordingly by the workers.

In an interview with Young &Next Generation, Mrs. Kemi Iredia of All Believers Congregation, Ajao Estate, told how emotional she felt and her desire to be with the children and pamper them as though they were hers. She also spoke about sharing 'the goodies of the Lord' with them.

Fabian Peter, another visitor from Our Lady Queen of All Saints Block Rosary Crusade, Ijegun-Imoore spoke about the duties and responsibilities of the privileged towards the less privileged. He also expressed hope of being able to pay the home a visit some other time.

Group photographs were taken with the children, while the some of the visitors were taken round building to see the ill ones.

Notwithstanding the crowd, the children carried on with their plays and chit-chat, also asking for more photographs.
