Job Title: Financial Manager – English-speaking African country

Employer: AMT SA – Advanced Maritime Transports – Nigeria

Job Description: To support our activities' growth and our geographical expansion, we are currently looking for a Financial Manager willing to work in English-speaking African countries. Our HR mobility policy encourages moves in different countries every 3-4 years.

The role:

•   Reporting to our Corporate and /or Regional CFO, your role will be to:

•   Administer cash flow

•   Manage cash control – bank reconciliation

•   Control and follow-up the branch overheads (under supervision of the Regional Manager and the Regional Financial Manager)

•   Prepare budget

•   Prepare monthly / quarterly / yearly group reporting

•   Prepare, follow-up yearly statutory accounts

•   Supervise and control invoicing, accounting, recoveries

•   Ensure that all expenses related to local tax have been paid for and keep records updated

•   Ensure compliance with internal procedures

•   Supervise the Accounting / finances team

•   Some travels in the region requested

Desired Skills & Experience:

•   Diploma in Accounting or Finances

•   At least 3 years of experience in a similar position preferably in the logistics industry

•   Proficiency in computerized accounting programs

•   Stress and time management skills

•   Preferably a professional background gained in the overseas transport & logistics business

•   Not auditor experience

•   Fluency in English mandatory

•   Must be capable of working unsupervised in a fast-paced environment in a remote area

•   Must be detail-oriented, well-organized and able to multi-task

•   Must be customer focused, results driven ad able to work as a team manager

•   Must be a performer and lead by example, delegate responsibilities effectively
