OPC’ll ensure continuous peace in S’West –Gani Adams

The Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC) has said that it will continue to ensure there is peace in the south west geo political zone of the country.

According to Otunba Gani Adams, OPC National Coordinator, "We are only interested in peace in the nation and we'll ensure the peace in the South West is not disrupted."

Reacting to President Goodluck Jonathan's recent classification of OPC as a security threat to the nation, he said, "We are not a security threat to the country we love.

Our activities are open and known to all. We are only concerned with promoting and propagating the rich cultural values, ideals and history of the Yoruba race and we've never engaged in any clandestine activity.

"We are a visible organisation with known addresses all over the country and we are known and accessible to all Nigerians, including security agencies, so we are not a security threat in any manner."
