LG caretaker committee

A group, Itesiwaju Project, has expressed its satisfaction with the composition of a Caretaker Committee in Itesiwaju Local Government Area of Oyo State by Governor Abiola Ajimobi.

 It also expressed its confidence in the chairman of the committee, Mr. Adisa Adeniji, whose tenure was recently "renewed for another six months."

 The Coordinator, Mr. Oladejo Adebisi, in a statement on Saturday lauded the state House of Assembly for the clearance of Adeniji.

 He, however, criticised those opposition to the ACN administration who were bent on blackmailing Ajimobi.

 He said, "We reaffirm the support of our people for the administration and the Action Congress of Nigeria, and urge His Excellency to ignore those spurious publications planted by a faceless and self-serving group intended to blackmail your administration.

 "They have only exposed themselves as pseudo-progressives and change-haters. We assure you that at the appropriate time, very soon, we shall unmask their masquerade in the village square, not for disgrace, but for them to repent and be forgiven."
