Job Description:

• Coordinates and informs Project Manager of Safety issues, status and metrics.

• Ensure establishment and proper implementation of adequate control processes within the Project Team, as stipulated in the Project Execution Plan and the Project Safety Plan.

• Develop Project Safety Audit Schedule, conduct site Safety audits within Projects and assist Site Project Management (SPM) in conduct of project audits, as needed.

• Evaluate and monitor implementation of contractor's Safety management systems.

• Monitor, investigate, identify and resolve subproject Safety issues, evaluate Safety Metrics, and provide reports to responsible line management, SPM and Function, as required.

• Provide PMT Safety training as stipulated in the Project Safety Plan and as required within the PMT

• Develop site specific Safety Plan, when required.

• Steward development of construction site safety leads and construction site safety reps.

• Work with company and contractor's site management and COMPANY SHE Q to implement the project and site safety programs

• Provide support to the Project SHE Manager and the Contractor's SHE organization. Coaches and facilitates implementation of systematic  – Safety processes to assure compliance with the Project Safety Management System (PSMS) requirements. Verifies implementation of the EPC contractor's Safety Plan as endorsed by COMPANY Project management.

• Coach and facilitate:  – COMPANY Project Manager and the Contractor's SHE organization to achieve safety and health objectives at the construction /fabrication site level  – The various construction site safety representatives assigned to the project  – The Contractor to assure appropriate safety compliance monitoring and implementation of Project Site Safety Plan  – Implementation of Safety management systems

• Advise Contractor of COMPANY and Project specific Safety requirements, expectations and best practices

• Organize and coordinate the project's Safety training program

• Monitor and coach the activities of the Contractor's -project Safety organization

• Develop expectations for project management systems for Safety-related activities

• Communicate and coordinate guidelines for COMPANY safety awareness, recognition, and incentive programs

• Provide assistance to and participate in risk assessment and studies as defined in the Sub-project's Safety program

• Collect, analyze, and report data on safety initiatives and safety performance to project and functional management.

• Facilitate regular Safety inspections, assessments, and audits at the various project sites in accordance with established COMPANY Safety Programs or as requested by project management

• Organize and participate in investigation and follow-up of incidents/accidents, including development of remedial action plans

• Review and/or critique contractor incident and investigation notifications and reports

• Share Safety Lessons Learned between site and outside organizations

• Mentor project contractor safety personnel

• Mentor Project's National Safety personnel

• Facilitate/encourage heightened SHE awareness and behavior throughout the Project

• Facilitate the Project Safety Steering Committee

• Provide Functional leadership for the Site Safety leads and Site Safety Representatives

Job Requirements:

• Advanced knowledge of projects, operations, facilities, safety and environmental requirements.

• Ability to work in harsh environments, in stressful situations, with ever changing priorities

• Knowledge in M.S. Office applications (or equivalent) and database management, including IMPACT™ database and Global Share / eManual administration

• Read, write, and speak fluent English, as required to function effectively within a project team

• Demonstrated ability to develop successful working relationships with emphasis on interfacing and mentoring in a team environment

• Knowledge for all OIMS Systems and Procedures

• High attention to detail, completeness and meeting deadlines

• Ability to resolve conflicts and obtain consensus

• 8 to 15 years in positions related to construction Safety (Prefer previous experience with COMPANY projects)

• University degree and/or technical diploma

• Ability and desire to function in an integrated project team environment

• Knowledge of facilities fabrication, construction, transportation, and pre-commissioning from a Safety perspective

• Thorough knowledge of Safety standards, codes, and practices
