Testimonies trail Global Grace Holy Ghost Convention –Pastor Samuel

The just concluded three-day Holy Ghost Convention of Global Grace Church, Ikeja Lagos, wound up with many regenerated believers refusing to go back to their homes but wanting stay put and dwell perpetually in the humble auditorium of the church.

Our correspondent who covered the event reported that the power of God was so awesomely present from the first day of the convention beginning on June 13 through 15th. Some of the startling testimonies that trailed the Holy Ghost Convention include many oppressed people who were released from demonic possession.

Many also got filled in the Holy Spirit, many prophesied and over 30 persons, whose spiritual gifts had been dormant, were restored. On the first day, The Overseer of the church, Pastor Samuel Daniel, mounted the podium at exactly 1.30 midnight, after the congregation had been sensitised with worship and praise songs from the choir. He introduced the guest speaker, I k Ojade, who spoke on the topic, 'And Ye Shall Receive Power.'

Having picked his text from the books of John 7:37-39 and Act 1:8, the preacher emphasised the need for every Christian to seek to receive Holy Ghost empowerment.

It was a combination of teaching and impartation of the Holy Spirit for the benefit of the attendees. According to the guest speaker, every desirous Christian is entitled to receive the Holy Ghost.

"If anyone is endued with Holy Ghost power, the person's and whatever he or she does would become transformed. "As a believer, your Christian life would change and you would be able to do more exploit for God," he explained.

He enjoined every believer to seek Holy Ghost empowerment particularly those who are struggling to make it in life. He cited the book of Deuteronomy 8:28 where the Bible says we should not the Lord our God who gives us power to make wealth.

That is the power of the Holy Ghost. According to the Bishop, when the Holy Ghost comes upon someone, He will give the person the idea of how to make wealth. Before the guest speaker left the stage the congregation was highly sensitized; and some people began to give their lives to Christ.

The Chief Host, Pastor Daniel impacted then took over the pulpit again; and imparted Holy Ghost anointing upon the multitude. Many were filled in the Holy Ghost as they experienced the anointing of the Holy Spirit coming upon them.

The church was turned into a deliverance ground; many apparently possessed people began to fall on the ground and crawled on the cold floor; some manifesting snake movement.

Another guest speaker simply identified as evangelist Chibuzo ministered on the second day. His own message was anchored under the topic 'Perfect Christianity.' The minister pointed out that it was impossible to experience true Christian living without Holy Ghost empowerment.

He explained that believers must yield their lives totally to Christ and repent of every known sin so that the power of the Holy Ghost would come upon them. "It is only then that they would be able to live a life that is pleasing to God," he insisted.

Many people gave their lives to Christ on account of the messages. Many who were desirous to receive Holy Ghost infilling declared intentions and quite a lot of them received the Holy Ghost; as the overseer imparted the Holy Ghost upon them.

Some of them prophesied and others busted out in tongues. On the third day, which was Friday, Pastor Afam Okereke, a deliverance minister, broke satanic yokes in the lives of many people. A lot of people oppressed by demons were liberated that night; and a lady crawled from the back of the church up to the front row.

Seeing her crawling on the hard floor, people thought that she would bruise her body. But to their consternation, she did not sustain any injury. The overseer declared, thereafter, that the lady had been delivered from satanic possession and that she also received the baptism of the Holy Ghost instantly.

The following Sunday was declared Thanksgiving Day. It was dedicating to singing praise and worshipping God to show appreciation for the awesome work the Lord did at the three-day event.

At the peak of the worship period, more than 30 born-again Christian who had lost their gifts had them restored under anointing. Many saw visions, some heard voices and others prophesied; and diverse gifts manifested during the service.

The service was crowned with washing of feet. The fire of revival burnt so high that people did not want to go home again. "All they want is to dwell in the presence of God in this worship arena. But they must go back to their houses to see the loved ones," said Pastor Daniel.
