No, you're is still with us –Chocolate City

The controversy trailing singer, Brymo, and his record label, Chocolate City, is getting more complicated. Only recently, Chocolate City, bothered by the rumours flying around on social media, following Brymo's tweet that he had dumped the label, Audu Maikori and MI, President and Vice President of company respectively had declared that it was ridiculous for Brymo to claim that he was no longer on the label.

Dismissing Brymo's tweet as child's play, Maikore and MI disclosed that Brymo still owed Chocolate City two albums and his contract expires in 2016.

"That he made that tweet does not mean that he is right. Anybody can tweet but you just can't wake and tweet anything you like. What Brymo tweated has no basis; it can't hold ground because there is a contract and he has to come back and fulfill his obligations. If an artiste says he wants to leave for any reason, there's a proper way to do that," the label said.

However, in a swift reaction, Brymo has remained defiant declaring that as far as music was concerned, it was all over between him and Chocolate City.

"It's all over between Chocolate City and I. There was a breach of contract. The label failed to live up to its obligations. I have been very loyal to the contract but the label has not fulfilled its own side of the deal and that's why I am leaving," the Ara singer revealed.

He says one of the issues that made him decide to leave was the wishy-washy way his single, God Morning, was released. And besides, his album was leaked online before its official release.

"When I released the CD, they promised that it was safe to sell online for two weeks first before the actual release but the album was leaked and the deal failed and nobody is giving me reasons or explanations so there's been a breach of contract.

"Aside broken promises, there is no account of how my last album was sold and distributed. I called for an audit meeting with management and at the end of it, they couldn't give account. So I have since quit. They even agreed that we should part ways amicably but two months after, I have not heard anything from them but I have decided to move on with my career", he said.

Chocolate City is a record label so many recording artistes are trying to quit right now. There must be something wrong over there.
