Production Methods Service Engineer – Residential Role

NES Global Talent is a leading global technical recruitment company providing professional contract and permanent staff to a diverse world-wide client base within the Oil & Gas Industry. Our client, a major Oil and Gas Operator have an opportunity for a Topsides Structural Engineer to work on a long term contract based in Port Harcourt, Nigeria.

RESPONSIBILITIES: – Conduct Core Production Method activities through the following: – Interface with shut down team for preparation of shut down dossier – Develop/review/update & audit for new & existing production procedure – Review & Contribute to the formulation of operating Philosophy for existing projects – Monitor key production parameters and report in case of shortfall or negative trends – Provide proposals for production optimization / de-bottlenecking opportunities – Ensure that action items from production trip/shutdown/inspection are addressed and/or implemented – Provide onsite support for relevant jobs as required and when approved by Head of Production Methods – Interface with Wells Services for well corrective maintenance – Monitor key KPIs for well integrity, ESDV test and ensure that well integrity & ESDV tests are performed on schedule – Ensure that WIMT is updated at all times – Review Down-Graded Situations (Rating) and its mitigation proposals. Ensure mitigations are implemented and propose solutions to remove down-graded situation – Review Long term Inhibition (Rating) and its mitigation proposals. Ensure mitigations are implemented and propose solution to remove Long term inhibition situations – Perform regular site audits of work permits, Down Graded situation, Long term inhibition, etc – Undertake follow up of small material supply to sites – Act as Project Interface through the following activities: – Participate in interface meetings and answer any informal queries from the Projects – Coordinate and organize the planning activities with ongoing jobs (to minimize shortfalls) – Review commissioning and start-up procedures – Oversee major Operational running tests and ensure the final formal hand-over of Systems to designated asset – Review the Final Documentation (new equipment, P&ID`s, Drawings) and interface with designated asset – Interface with Project team to support the site on commissioning activities notably related to punch list clearance. – Conduct Planning activities through the following: – Coordinate and organize the planning activities with ongoing jobs (to minimize shortfall).-

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: – A Field Engineer with 5 to 8 years experience on site or a Production Supervisor with 15 to 20 years experience – Knowledge of Planning Management and Organization – English – fluent level
