Job Title: Assistant Risk Analyst

Location: Lagos Mainland, Nigeria

Employer: Sapphire Investments

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Analyse market risks (Local and International).

• Initiate process to determines the Bank's risk appetite

• Monitor risks between CBN and Foreign Asset Managers

• Monitor risk inherent between external asset managers and the local partners

• Prepare investment policy proposal for management approval

• Analysis of Balance Sheet and Profit/Loss to ascertain key risks

• Extract market rates from Bloomberg and Reuters.

• Get relevant business news from daily newspapers, Magazines, Bloomberg, Reuters

• Extrapolate processed data to obtain trends

• Produce market risks monthly report.

• Collect relevant foreign investment data from Reserve Management Department (RED)

• Compare accretion and depletion of investment and provide reasons for variations.

• Examine performances of counterparties and Asset Managers over a time frame.

• Compare performance with global indices as obtained from Bloomberg and Reuters.

• Analyze country's ratings

• Review the risk in continuing/renewal of relationship.

• Analysis of Balance Sheet and Profit/Loss to ascertain key cost and profit drivers.

• Compare performance of budget with balances and evaluate with the balances in the GL.

• Prepare the risk associated with non performance of budget and coverage as per balances as GL.

• Produce monthly report for RMD

Qualification/ Specification

• A good first degree/HND in any of the social/management sciences. An advanced degree in management will be an advantage

• Minimum of 3 years cumulative experience in banking, finance and administration. Experience within a risk management related role is an advantage

• Membership of professional administrative, management, or accounting body shall be an advantage.
