New Paris side's coach interested in Chelsea star Laurent Blanc will consider making an offer for Chelsea defender David Luiz when he becomes the new coach at Paris Saint-Germain.

Blanc is set to soon be named as Carlo Ancelotti's replacement.

Luiz, 26, is being lined up to replace former Chelsea defender Alex, 31, who is keen to return to Brazil.

He confirmed meanwhile that he suffered a broken nose during Brazil's Confederations Cup match against Mexico last Wednesday night and he will need surgery.

He was forced into an emergency kit change after heading his skipper Thiago Silva in the first half while trying to clear a free-kick.

Luiz was left holding his nose as blood poured out, looking very groggy as struggling to keep his eyes open and he will need a mask for the rest of the Confederations Cup.

Luis told Sambafoot: "Yes, my nose is broken, but that's part of the game. Now I'll have to wait until the end of the competition and undergo a surgery to fix it."

After being stretchered off, it took the medical staff several minutes to allow Luiz to come back onto the pitch, and in the meantime he changed out of his kit, to the delight of the Brazil fans.
