Super Eagles Win Over CIV Excites Oboabona

Super Eagles defender, Godfery Oboabona, has described Saturday's victory over the Elephants of Cote d'Ivoire in a CAF African Nations Championship qualifier played in Kaduna as a product of good effort from the home boys.

The Home Eagles defeated the visitors 4-1 at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium in Kaduna with Africa Cup of Nations gold medalist, Sunday Mba, scoring a brace.

Speaking after the encounter, the Sunshine Stars FC of Akure reliable defender said he was happy that the home boys did not disappoint their fans, while looking forward to another victory in the away match holding in Abidjan in a forth night.

"I feel great and happy that we won the match because it is not easy beating a team like Cote d'Ivoire 4-.1 But we did it and that showed that we have a team that is serious and ready to make the nation proud,"says the FIFA Confederations Cup participant.

"We just have to continue from where we stopped here and make sure that we do not make the second leg match difficult for ourselves. We have decided that we will do our best to make sure we qualify for the CHAN final in South Africa."
