Roles and responsibilities:

• Lead in translation of FGD and IDI guides from English to Hausa

• Participate in training of data collectors on how to use the guide.

• Lead in translating and typing the transcribed data from Hausa to English  

Deliverables:

• Translated FGD and IDI guide in Hausa from English

• Translated transcribed data from the field from Hausa to English

Skill set:

Required Qualifications:

• A minimum of BA in Hausa, English, Linguistics or mass communication.

• At least 5 years working experience in translating and transcribing a research data from English to Hausa and vice versa

• Excellent report writing skills is desired.

• Good communication skill is an essential requirement for this assignment. Working knowledge of Sokoto State would be an added advantage.

• Team player.

Work experience: 2-3 years
