Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for undergraduate admission into McPherson University (McU) degree programmes for the 2013/2014 academic session.

GENERAL ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

The minimum entry requirements for admission into McPherson University are five (5) credit passes in WAEC (WASC/SSCE), NECO (SSCE) or NABTEB in English Language, Mathematics and any other subjects relevant to the course of study obtained at not more than two sittings. Candidates are also to note that there are other requirements that may be specific to a College and/or a Programme. Candidates awaiting GCE/NECO/SSCE and NABTEB results are also encouraged to apply provided the results would be available before resumption.

Candidates applying to McPherson University are expected to have sat for the 2013 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and obtained the minimum national aggregate score. Candidates are required to indicate the Programmes of their choice by completing an application form obtainable from the University website or Sale Centres as listed in Section 4 below.

COLLEGE OF NATURAL AND APPLIED SCIENCES

Department of Biological Sciences
•   B.Sc. Microbiology
•   B.Sc. Biochemistry
•   B.Sc. Biotechnology

Department of Chemical Sciences
•   B.Sc. Chemistry

The five 'O' level credits (i&ii) must include English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology and Physics.

Department of Physical and Computer Sciences
•   B.Sc. Computer Sciences
•   B.Sc. Statistics
•   B.Sc. Physics
•   B.Sc. Mathematics

The five 'O' level credits must include English Language, Mathematics, Physics, and any other two of the following: Chemistry, Biology, Agricultural Science, Geography, and Economics but candidates specializing in Physics must have a credit in Chemistry.

COLLEGE OF SOCIAL AND MANAGEMENT SCIENCES

i. Department of Accounting and Finance
•   B.Sc. Accounting
•   B.Sc. Banking and Finance

•      B.Sc. Marketing

The five 'O' level credits must include English Language, Mathematics, Economics, one Social Science subject and any other subject.

COLLEGE OF HUMANITIES         

Department of History and Diplomatic Studies
•   B.A. History and Diplomatic Studies

Department of Religious  Studies
•   B.A. Religious Studies

The five 'O' level credits must include English Language, Literature-in-English and at least one other Arts subject and two other subjects.

3.   OTHER ADMISSION MODES

(a). DIRECT ENTRY (DE) (3-YEAR PROGRAMMES)

Requirements
•   G.C.E. 'A' level with a minimum of 'C' grade in two core Subjects
•   National Diploma (ND). At least Lower Credit in the relevant discipline.
•   Completion of JAMB (DE) form is mandatory.

(b)  TRANSFER ADMISSION
Transfer Admission from within and outside Nigeria will be regularised with JAMB. Interested Candidates are to produce the following:
•   JAMB Admission Letters (if from Nigeria)
•   Transcripts from previous Universities.

5.    MODE OF PAYMENT

A non-refundable application fee of Five thousand five hundred naira (N5, 500:00) only payable to McPherson University, Seriki – Sotayo, through any of the following banks:

•   Print out your copy

Application through Sale Centres
Candidates should collect forms from the designated Sale Centres listed above on presentation of the Bank-Tellers received from the bank to which the application fee (N5, 500) was paid.
Completed application forms should be returned to the Sale Centre from where purchased with a copy of the Bank Teller.

6.    CLOSING DATE

Completed application forms must be returned to the collection centres not later than 2 weeks from date of purchase.
