Ex-Manchester United star Quinton Fortune says he has no doubt Sir Alex Ferguson made the right choice for his replacement in David Moyes.

Fortune was speaking in Kampala on Monday where he is on a short tout sponsored by DHL, United's official logistics partners.

"He's (Moyes) got the people around him who understand how the whole thing at Manchester United works," said Fortune, 36.
.
"But of course you can only judge him by winning trophies but at the moment as you know he's been in the job for a few weeks."

Fortune added: "It would be extremely hard for any manager to replace Sir Alex but you've got to appreciate that it's Sir Alex who said Moyes is the man for the job.
.
"Sir Alex must have seen something in Moyes. Moyes' got the quality to continue the success of Manchester United."

Having replaced Ferguson at the final bend of last season, the Scot began his reign at the club with a disappointing 1-0 loss to in Bangkok on Saturday.

United's pre-season tour continues in Sydney, followed by matches in Yokohama, Osaka and Hong Kong before facing AIK in Stockholm on August 6.
