Position filled by: National or Expatriate

Position on organisation chart: Reports Directly to Inspection Engineer

Activities : – He carries out visual and NDT on pressure systems (piping, vessels), topside structure and hull (structures, paintwork, gratings, guardrails, ladders, piping, etc.).  – He carries out regular inspections of the installations and draws attention to any faults he discovers, diagnosing them and suggesting remedial action to the Site Inspection Engineer.  – He carries out NDT measurement campaigns.  – He generates inspection reports for review by Inspection Engineer.  – He may populate data in the CMMS under the Inspection Engineer.  – He may be delegated to assist certain specialists.  – He carries out any action within his field that is assigned by the Inspection Team Leader.

Context and Environment

Rotation status,

Position off shore on the FPSO.

Purpose: He participates in the sound execution of the inspection and corrosion prevention programme in strict compliance with COMPANY's current safety regulations and operational procedures and in accordance with standard industry practice.

Qualifications required:  – The holder of this post must have the following qualifications as a minimum:  – 5 years' continuous experience in carrying NDT inspection in the oil and gas industry.  

Specific Knowledge requirements:  

Industry recognised valid certificates :

•   NDT ASNT level II, MPI, DPE, UT, RT              

•   Rope access, level 2 or Level 3 (certified by IRATA or RAFFA or equivalent independent

•   An ability to maintain good relations with colleagues.

•   Competent in his field, he must show common sense and an organisational ability.

•   Physical ability to regularly go and work offshore in the climatic conditions of the site,

•   Languages: English necessary – score of >> 3.5 in standard Total test or Bright test or 780 in TOEIC
