VP’s wife asks Nigerians to employ Ramadan to propagate peace and good behaviour.

                        The Wife of the Vice President, Hajiya Amina Namadi Sambo attended a Ramadan lecture organised by Nasirul Lahil Fatihi (NASFAT) Abuja branch at the NASFAT Islamic Centre Utako on 20th July, 2013.

Hajiya Amina Sambo in her goodwill message expressed her profound gratitude to Almighty Allah to have been found worthy and honoured as the Mother of the Day on the special Ramadan lecture organised in the month of peace.

Hajiya Sambo said Ramadan has presented the Muslim Umah another opportunity to do a critical self review and rededicate their lives to the worship of Allah (SWT) as enjoined in Chapter 2, Verse 183 of the Glorious Qur'an.

She further explained that the restraining of oneself also involves restricting oneself from anger, doing good deeds and exercising patience and tolerance among each other.

Hajiya Dr. Sambo also enjoined every individual to encourage peace, forgive for one another and renew both human and spiritual relationships as this will help to contribute to the overall principle of making the individual more humane, considerate and generally a more responsible member of a society.

Also she urged everyone to set a standard for good behaviour not only in the month of Ramadan but make it the element of all Muslim Umah.

Hajiya Amina Namadi Sambo congratulates NSAFAT for organising this Special Lecture theme: 'Religion in Nigeria Project: Myth, Reality, Challenges And Prospects.'

She said, it is very relevant considering the various dimensions and tendencies to which Religion had been put to use at different levels of our national life.

She therefore, urged the organizers to continue to propagate Islam in other to set optimum standard for peace especially to enhance the transformation agenda of this present Administration to create peace for the nation.

The Governor of Nasarawa State represented by Ustaz Hamad Mohammed Nusril Rufai commends NSAFAT for organising such a wonderful lecture in the Month of Ramadan which has enabled every one present to obtain the blessing of the month.

The Speaker of the House of Representative, Hon. Aminu Tambwa also commended NASFAT for their encouragement and contribution in the propagation of Islam in the country,he prayed that Allah (SWT) will continue to enhance protect and guide the organisers till the day of Yamal Kiyaom.

Among the dignitaries at the lecture were the Representative of the Nasarawa State Governor, the Speaker of the House of Representative Aminu Tambuwa, the Woman House Leader Hon. Mulikat Akande, Hajiya Aishau Bello wife of former Minister of Defence, Hajiya Hadisa Mohammed PDP National Director of Women Affairs, Hajiya Nafisat Abubakar wife of the former Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hajiya Shifa Garba representative of the Zonal Islamic Education and many other notable Nigerian.
