Malawi Book Date With Rwanda

Flames of Malawi will play Rwanda on August 14 in an exhibition game to fine-tune strategies ahead of the make or break September 7 FIFA 2014 World Cup qualifying fixture against the Super Eagles of Nigeria.

Completesports gathered that the Football Association of Malawi [FAM] settled for Rwanda ,after successfully agreeing on terms for the friendly match. The Rwanda Football Football Federation will take care of the hotel accomodations/meals and local transport for the 25 member team that will travel to Kigali while FAM will only meet travelling expenses for its delegation.

Before settling for Rwanda, there were speculations that the Flames would play a friendly game with teams like Cameroun, Ethiopia and Jordan being possible candidates.

The game will offer coach Tom Saintfiet an opportunity to try his tactics as the team prepares for the clash against Nigeria in Calabar.

Malawi will definately do well in football this time around cos I'm sure they will have a point to prove to the whole of Africa. Let's just wait and see.
