Job Title: Marketing Executive

Employer: Stakeholder Democracy Network

Location: Port Harcourt, Nigeria

Reports to: IIED Senior Project Officer

Job Responsibilities:

•   Execute sales of solar power products and related products, such as mobile charging, battery charging to specified community groups

•   Select and train micro entrepreneurs

•   Evaluate community's energy needs

•   Identify, isolate and overcome customer/ community group concerns and objections.

•   Accurately execute all contractual documents with customer/ micro entrepreneurs, including paperwork associated with procuring solar equipment and credit period to pay off purchase of whole sale lanterns

•   Record and update sales spread sheet; customer demographic spread sheet and stock check

•   Follow-up with prospective community group/ customers, give an accounting of customer feed back

•   Support SDN in weekly reports on: customer feedback, quality and popularity of product, comparative analysis of community sales

•   Aid in retrieval of customer payments

•   Attend SDN meetings, attend seminars on solar and green energy and perform other sales related functions as needed.

•   Distributor is engaged on a commission basis, specification of contract to be discussed with Chief Finance Manager and Finance officers at SDN Nigeria Secretariat and SDN international Secretariat

Job Requirements:

•   Candidate should have passion for green and sustainable energy alternatives with the capacity to grasp the wider context of the project.

•   With experience in business and micro entrepreneurship; preferably in the sale of solar equipment sales and/or solar installation experience with an interest to succeed in a sales environment.

•   Distributor candidate is a driven problem solver, self-motivated, an astute decision-maker, and an asset to the SDN team.  

•   Minimum HND / B.Sc. in any related field.
