Lagos State Government has said it is satisfied with responses by investors-both foreign and local-to its initiatives.

The Special Adviser to the Governor on Commerce and Industry, Mr. Oluseye Oladejo, said this on Monday during a press conference on the 2013 Eko-Expo Trade set to hold between September 23 and 29 at the Lekki Free Zone.

Oladejo said no fewer than 175 investors from Indonesia, China and Nigeria were part of the 2012 expo, while about 73 of them had signed a Memorandum of understanding with the state.

He said, "Apart from that, about 13 other firms have registered with us, while 12 firms signed investment agreement with Lagos. Eko Expo is one of the initiatives to attract investment to the state. We have chosen Lekki Free Zone to familiarise the business community with peculiar incentives offered by the zone and the need to invest there.

"This year, we have chosen the theme, 'Promoting Nigeria Products towards a Sustainable Employment Generation', to reflect the determination of the government to combat unemployment through the promotion of Nigerian products."
