Our client is a strong local company with diversified interests ranging from paints to mining and steel. As part of the company's next level move, a talented professional is required as Logistics Manager.

Reports to: The Managing Director

You will be responsible for coordinating delivery schedules with suppliers, issue all documentation related to the haulage. You will manage a fleet of trailers and other heavy duty equipment. In this capacity, You will:

•   Drive the design, development, implementation and management of logistics solutions for customers

•   Ensure that partners understand and accept customer guidelines and requirements for all logistics operations, including service and repair

•   Work in conjunction with various parties such as business development, field support and customer service to handle complaints and ensure support plans are in place to maintain long-term customer relationships

•    Prepare and recommend operating and personnel budgets for approval

•    Monitor spending for adherence to budget and recommends variances as necessary

•    Consult with assigned clients to understand their distribution networks and determine the logistics resources required to support equipment, safety, personnel and maintenance

•    Negotiate with supply sources to meet technical requirements

•    Root cause analysis and problem resolution for all logistics operations

JOB REQUIREMENTS

•    Degree-qualified in Business Administration or a related discipline

•    A minimum of 4 years' cognate experience in a similar role

•    Sound knowledge and experience with the procedures and documentations required in haulage services

•    Knowledge of MS Excel and ability to generate reports efficiently

•    Work requires willingness to work with a flexible schedule
