Veteran goalkeeper Dani Aranzubia has left relegated Deportivo Coruna for Atletico Madrid, for an undisclosed fee, both Spanish clubs said on Tuesday.

Aranzubia, 33, will be the back-up keeper at Atletico to Belgian Thibaut Courtois, who is on loan from Chelsea.

He started his career at Athletic Bilbao then moved on to Deportivo in 2008. He was a reserve for Spain at Euro 2008.
